  • How many musicians are in the band?
Up to 5 but it can be as few as 2 depending on your budget.
  • Does the band include a caller?
Yes, always. A caller is essential.
  • How long do you play for?
We play for as long as you and your guests can dance. Usually 2 x 60 minute sets and up to 75 minutes per set. It’s not something you’d do every day and most people aren’t used to this kind of exercise. A good caller will recognise when dancers need a rest and should act accordingly. However, it’s your day and we will be guided by you.
  • How many sets will you do?
It’s your day and we will be guided by you. Usually 2 x 60 minute sets and up to 75 minutes per set.
  • What is your repertoire?
We use exciting and lively music in a traditional style to fit the dances (tunes we play include The Sloe, Three Around Three, Harper’s Frolic, Bonnie Kate).
  • What should I expect on the day?
The band will arrive at least one hour before the agreed start time. Usually earlier to allow for heavy traffic. The band will be prepared for the event (e.g. wedding) to run late. Whatever the case the band will be set up and ready to start at the agreed time and will be pleased wait until they are required to start. We are always open to discussion.
